Sometimes people ask me if the repetitive nature of my "job" ever gets to me. And it always surprises me because despite my exclusivity at the farm over all the years, the details of my job are quite literally never the same. There's such a beauty in getting to know each client through their details, whether simple or intricate. The whole experience is such a unique and personal window into someones soul and not something I take lightly. I've always reiterated throughout my work that event planning, especially wedding planning, is THE highest form of hospitality. You have to be able to read the room and environment and adjust accordingly. There are some clients, couples, families, brides that need humor amidst their day in order to bring the nerves down, there are others who are all business and only need direct communication and proficiency. Some need space, others constant reassurance that i have them taken care of. Event planning is not just a profession...to me it is an art.
